Out of the mouth of babes

Anna: you know what I did during nap time at school today?
Me: what?
Anna: I prayed to God.
Me: Really? What did you say?
Anna: I told Him I loved Him.
Me: that's wonderful, sweetie. What did He say?
Anna: He told me he loves me, too. But Mama, when He whispers, you can't hear Him with your ears. You hear him on the inside.

... An hour later at bedtime...

Me: you know what my favorite sound is? Your laugh.
Anna: You know what my favorite sound is? When God says he loves me.

What a beautiful, sweet girl she is. Just makes me misty thinking about her.
