my black thumb finally pays off

I am known for killing every plant I have owned. Our porch is a graveyard of empty planters. Well, a little sparrow has taken advantage of this and built her little nest in what used to be my thyme planter. I couldn't figure out why Finlay was so interested in that planter until I saw the sparrow's 3 little chicks had hatched. They now are safe on a shelf, and I'm sure mama bird feels much better. Spring is here!

Rob, for the 2nd year in a row, participated in a charity skeet-shoot. He looked so tough on his way out the door, so we got a picture of him with our hunting dog.

ready for parenthood

We had a wonderful baby shower today. It was a great mix of people from college, med school, business school, and residency. Everyone was too generous, and I think we all had a great time. third anniversary

Wow, we are really exciting. Here we are on our third anniversary. April 9th landed on a Wednesday, so Rob was out of town, in Hungary. We were both pooped by the weekend, so we were super lazy. I cooked us dinner (from a take-out dinner place), and we went to see the Lion King which was so awesome. If any of you ever have the opportunity to go, you should!

4 months to go . . .

Well here I am at 23 weeks. My dad recently told me to say good-bye to my toes, and he is definitely right. I am right on track for the amount of weight I'm supposed to gain, but man! I am getting huge! I'm still exercising every-other-day while I still can, feeling great, not sleeping as well as I used to, but otherwise having a pleasant pregnancy.

Today is our 3rd anniversary. Who would've thought so much could change in 3 years! Rob and I are celebrating by seeing the broadway version of the Lion King this weekend and I am going to cook us dinner (for a change). We are trying to get in as many date nights as we can before we have to resort to romantic evenings at Chuck-E-Cheeze.
