Happy Halloween!

Introducing our Sunflower Fairy and our Little pumpkin! This is our first year in the neighborhood, and we were invited to the neighborhood party. There were pizza and piñatas! Anna loved running door to door. She would report what kind of candy each house had, what kind of pets lived there, etc.

Ian loves Anna.  He watches her and is already trying to copy what she does.  This video is such a sweet example of that.  The mimicking of her crying was not as adorable.

This may be the best family shot we get all fall, so we may be seeing it again the in form of a Christmas card!

Busy week for Ian

This boy is ready to go! He outgrew his bumbo in a week and has moved on to his exersaucer. Anything he can get his hands on goes straight in his mouth. He is about to sprout his first tooth! He is also up on his knees and scooting. He wants to be crawling so badly. I feel like his is moving through milestones so quickly! He may only be four months old, but he's not a baby anymore!

Life on the road

Here is my view from the middle back seat where I have spent a lot of time during the past two weekends. We are headed back from NC for a second weekend. My dear friend Erika married her sweetheart in the mountains.

Weekend with Mama Kae and Papa

Aka our first weekend with no children! MK and Papa were kind enough to watch Ian and Anna while Rob and I went to a friend's wedding in nearby NC. Ian is going through a growth spurt and eating 24 hours a day, so MK got no sleep. It's a good thing he's so darn cute! Papa kept Anna entertained with side walk chalk, pumpkin carving, movies, nature collages, etc. I hope my parents enjoyed the weekend as much as my kids did! I know Rob and I were thrilled to have some time to our own and get some sleep. :)

First day of fall

Or at least it finally feels like fall. We went to the park to enjoy the cool weather after spending all day with our windows open at home. We had Ian all bundled up, and Anna got bundled up, too . . . In a pink straw hat, pearls, summer dress, and leg Warmers. She was chilly, but she chased a pack of friendly dogs around and warmed up.

Dress up

Many people have suggested that we put Anna into modeling. We have no intention of doing that, but this series of dress up pictures made me think twice. She was hamming it up for the camera and even got Ian involved.

Ian

Our sweet boy is so dear. He loves watching Anna and smiling when she entertains him. He really is fascinated by her. Here are some of this funny faces. He also took two naps today in the middle of the kitchen. Apparently our hardwoods are not too hard.
