Watchful waiting

I am due three weeks from yesterday.  It's hot, I'm having contractions all the time, and we are moving to our new home in 4 weeks.  Needless to say, I am anxious to meet our son.  I know there is no point in rushing into sleepless nights and recovery from surgery.  I am trying to treasure these last moments alone with Anna and our family of three.  Life is changing quickly for all of us, and this little guy will be here soon!

First ballet recital

We went to Anna's dress rehearsal today.  Those girls were so stinkin cute.  I thought they would just be standing on stage like deer in headlights, but they were able to do their dance without watching their teacher in the wings (too much).  Tap to "Girls just Wanna Have Fun" and ballet to "Calendar Girl."  Anna was mostly excited that she got to wear nail polish and makeup for the first time.  She played beauty parlor with Mama Kae while I was at work, and mom did a great job getting that short hair into a semi-bun.  I can't wait for the big show on Saturday!
