Monday, Funday

I love that Georgia has to declare a "state of emergency" when it snows. The entire city shut down, and work/schools were cancelled. I love my job, but it's nice to play hookie every now and then. We had a blast this morning in the snow. Anna walked around for a long time before we built a snowman. Finlay explored the entire street (and left a gift in the middle of the white road). The best part is warming up with hot chocolate in front of the fireplace when we come inside!

bracing ourselves

In preparation for the "storm of the century," we faced the masses at the grocery store to stock up on supplies. Really, that means I was out of food and was forced to go to the store. We are prepared to sustain ourselves on cupcakes for the next several days . . . if they are not all eaten today.

Haircut #2

We went for it this time. I am over the emotional part of cutting Anna's hair. I am also over fighting her to get the tangles out. She has gorgeous hair, but it is really a pain. So we cut it yesterday, and I think she is even more adorable. (And bath-time was a breeze!!)

What happened to our Baby Gator?

Despite her parents' ties to Florida, Anna is routing for her grandparents' team in the national championship.

New Years in Cashiers

This pretty much sums up our new years. We ate, we played. We didn't make it to midnight.

Olive Juice

I love that I can sit around the kitchen on a Sunday afternoon eating olives with my daughter.
