Anna planted sunflowers from seed several months ago with Mama Kae and Papa. They really grew! Here she is with the first one that opened (on her birthday).


Now that she has masted getting out of her bed in complete silence, here is where I found Anna when I woke up in the morning

Anna's 2nd birthday, parts 2-4

We've had a great time celebrating this week and eating lots of cupcakes. Our party today at the Atlanta Children's Museum was a success (and not just because it had air conditioning!). Anna loves her new tricycle and wants to ride it all the time (thanks, Rob, for staying up late putting that together!). Anna dear teachers are pictured at the bottom of this post. We will miss them as she transitions to the Big Girl class next week. Thank you, everyone, who celebrated with us. It was very special to have you with us.

Anna's 2nd birthday, part 1

We went to Cashiers for the weekend and got to celebrate Anna's birthday a little early with my family. Mom designed a Fancy Nancy themed party. The girls had a blast! My cousin's girls put on a ballet recital for us, and everyone got to dress up. Anna was insistent that she is one, not two, but after a lot of convincing, she is now holding up an additional finger when someone asks her age. Her birthday is not until the 16th, but we had a great time starting the festivities a little early! Thanks, Mama Kae and Papa!

Big girl bed

This is one of my worst ideas in a while. Anna is growing up so fast, and she wants to do everything that the big kids are doing. She was so excited when I suggested converting her crib to a "big girl bed." She was so excited to go to bed that she couldn't go to bed. After an hour of screaming (her, not me) she is a sleep. Looking forward to the rest of the week!
