Two more weeks
We are really in a rhythm now. Life is good. And that means that return to work day is right around the corner. Our nanny starts in a week and I return to work (and Anna starts pre-K!) the week following.

Anna turns four
On Monday, July 16th, Anna turned four and Ian turned one month. Anna had a gymnastics/princess party shared with her friend, Scarlett. There was a great turn out, lots of kids. Anna was unfortunately very tired after her swim lesson in the morning. She fell asleep in the car on the way to the party, so Rob had to wake up a grumpy kid for the party. after pouting for the first half and a threat to bring her home, Anna perked up and joined in the fun.

Polo boys
Rob and Ian came downstairs in matching outfits this morning. Frankly, it was yuppie adorable. Within minutes, Ian barfed all over Rob's matching polo shirt, thus ending the father-son moment . Rob is now in his third shirt for the day. It probably has spit up on it, too, but the stain would blend in with the white, so it's hard to tell.

Around the house
Ian will be four weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe that maternity leave is halfway over! I have realized that this is my longest stretch of "time off" until I retire. Booo.
Ian is a sturdy, sweet, snuggly boy. He is reliably sleeping 6 hours when we put him down at night. His reflux is under much better control and he is not nearly as fussy as his sister! Anna is doing great with him and loves to give him kisses and hugs.

Home in Atlanta
Mama Kae got us home yesterday. Rob has done a load of work on the house included getting Anna's princess room ready. Anna was so excited to see her new room, and I was thrilled that the broken door in her room had been filled in (the door lead to the upstairs balcony and was not wired for security or even able to be locked!)
I took Ian back to the doctor who diagnosed him with reflux (just like Anna had at his age). After 24 hours on baby Zantac, he is already feeling better. Poor thing has been so miserable. The good news is that he is up to 11 lbs 5 oz despite barfing all day.
We are so excited to get settled in our new home as a family of four. I really hope we stay in love with our home because we are never moving again!

Happy fourth of July!
We shared the morning with our cousins here in NC. We walked in the parade and rode in the fire trucks at Wade Hampton. Anna and I were bedazzled with 4th of July gear.

Happy early #4
15 days away from her fourth birthday, Anna celebrated a little early with our family in NC before everyone heads home this week. Anna requested a banana cake and her Aunt Cat obliged. It was amazing.
