Memorial Day Weekend in Cashiers

We had a great time in Cashiers this weekend. Got to visit with our extended family and see the city before the rainy weather took over. Anna had a great time with her cousins (actually second cousins, once removed), as seen in this video.

We have been enjoying a lot of family time: biking, aquarium, gardening, zoo, etc. Reading some books on parenting has been helpful as we enter what I call the "terrific twos."

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post! We've been trucking along and approaching the ripe age of TWO (not until July)! Anna is all girl and very chatty. She is very nurturing, loves her babies, doesn't like to share, talks non-stop, and really wants to make her own decisions. Her independence makes her much easier to take care of than when she was an infant, but she is so smart and really likes to push the boundaries, so in some ways she is harder to care for. Nonetheless, we love her more than ever. I can make her day with a slice of raisin toast and an Elmo video, and she can make mine with nose-kisses (Eskimo kisses).
