What a night! My water broke 36 hours before my planned c-section. Rob had just left to go to the driving range and was not able to hear his cell phone. I was able to reach a man from the pro-shop who drove his golf cart across the driving range to deliver the message to Rob and get him home.
Meanwhile, Raul and Reena zoomed over from Decatur to take care of Anna. I was unable to find my wallet before we left for the hospital, so sweet Raul dug through our dumpster until he found my wallet in the trash! That is a great friend.
After a very painful epidural, we went to the OR. My friend from med school, Chris Bassil, was the OB on call and he was able to deliver our son! It was very special to have him as my doctor.
Ian has his dad's lips and ears and my chin. He has deep blue eyes and a full head of strawberry blonde hair. Needless to say, he is a BIG baby. He is feeding well. Can't wait for him to meet his sister and bring him home.
